Gaucho (Broadgate)

I recently visited Gaucho at Broadgate for the first time for a colleagues birthday. I am a big carnivore and I don’t know why I haven’t been here before. All I can say is don’t go to Gaucho if you are a vegetarian. For a coeliac, steakhouses are always a good restaurant choice as steak is naturally gluten-free!

Our waitress started by bringing us a big board which displayed the different cuts of meat. I chose the churrasco de chorizo which is a spiral cut of sirloin marinated for 48 hours in garlic, parsley and olive oil. I also had some roasted veggies as a side (when you order the steak that is all that you get – a plate of meat). The waitress recommended a malbec (I wish I could remember which one it was – all I remember is that it was a 2008) and it was like liquid gold.

I had a lovely lunch and hopefully I will be returning soon though, as it is quite pricey, it will be one of those places for a special occasion.
