Bangers is a popular Friday lunch venue for my work colleagues. It is part of the Davys winebar chain. Bangers is located at basement level and I understand that it is one of the older bars/restaurants in London – the decor as a certain old-time charm about it.

The one thing that Bangers does very well is steaks and this is what my colleagues and I come here for. I usually order a steak and salad – which is naturally gluten-free. Bangers get their meat from the award winning butcher Donald Russell.

It isn’t exactly cheap, however, the prices aren’t as high as Gaucho.

I would always recommend making a reservation (even for reservations early in the week) as Bangers gets surprisingly busy. If you can, try to book the ‘office’ which is essentially a table in an office (ie it is like a private room) and can seat up to 6 (I think)).

I have been to Steak Exchange which is another restaurant in the Davys chain, however, I believe the quality of the food and service if far more superior at Bangers.
