Hello and welcome to Gluten-free in the City!

Having been a diagnosed coeliac since the mid-eighties, I certainly know the struggles of living on a gluten-free diet. Admittedly, the number of gluten-free alternative foods available nowadays are ever increasing and of a very tasty quality (well compared on my mum’s home baked bread which was as hard as a rock!) so us coeliacs no longer have to feel like we are missing out.

In the recent years I have developed a real passion for gluten-free cooking and baking and the main aim of this website is to share with you my thoughts and recipes that have worked for me. I’m also hoping to give you updates on new gluten-free products in the marketplace.  Last but not least, I’m looking forward to eating my way around London (and beyond) so I can let you know which restaurants are the good, bad and ugly of being gluten-free friendly.  You may also be subjected to my general thoughts on diet, exercise, fashion and other things going on in London.

I hope you find this website informative and please feel free to drop me a line with your thoughts and comments.
